That's why we invest significant time in preparing your concrete before the coating application. This guarantees that your coating not only adheres properly but also delivers the exceptional durability, slip resistance, and aesthetic appeal that define quartz flooring.
Step 1: Area Preparation
We initiate the process by carefully masking and isolating the work area to ensure a precise and controlled environment for the coating application.
Step 2: Damage Assessment and Repair
Any existing spaulling, chips, or cracks are addressed at this stage, laying the groundwork for a consistent coating application.
Step 3: Remove Previous Coatings
Any failing or peeling coatings are removed to assure strong bond to the concrete substrate and solid installation.
Step 4: Surface Cleaning
Cleaning is done to remove any prior oil or grease spill residue which could interfere with coating bond later in the process. Degreasing prior to surface profiling ensures surface oils are removed prior to profiling avoids potential transfer of residue during the profiling process.
Step 5: Surface Profiling
The surface is then profiled to enhance surface area contact, increasing the coatings mechanical bond.
Step 6: Moisture Mitigation
We conduct a moisture assessment to ascertain the potential need for a moisture vapor barrier. In high water table environments, around water bodies or in low level areas that can see high water tables during downpours, a moisture vapor barrier may be recommended to improve coating longevity during high water table events.
Step 7: Base Coat Application
Base Color Coat is now applied setting the base background color for your custom designed pattern.
Step 8: Quartz Application
Broadcast quartz chips to provide color and texture.
Step 9: Customized Topcoat Installed
To complete the process, we select and apply a topcoat that aligns with your specific surface's unique conditions and needs, be it indoor, outdoor, or garage-based – addressing hot tire and UV resistance requirements.
Step 10: Final Inspection
Our experts conduct a final inspection to ensure the transformation meets our high standards of quality and your expectations.
